JO STRUTT |
Jo has been working as part of the team at Bridgeham Clinic since June 2001. Together with Trevor they have set up the outstanding Bridgeham Pilates at Bridgeham Clinic. Jo started her training with Lynne Robinson's recognised and respected organisation Body Control Pilates in 1998 completing her Matwork qualification and Reformer training. These qualifications complemented her then present career as a professional dancer in musical theatre in London's West End 'Chicago'. After suffering a debilitating back injury whilst performing in 'Fosse' in 2000 Jo's interest in rehabilitation was intensified and became a necessity and so she completed the Rehabilitation training with Polestar Pilates at the Blackberry Clinic, Milton Keynes. Along with attending various workshops at several Development weekends Jo has also completed the first year of training in the Franklin Method with Eric Franklin, Institute for Movement Imagery Education, Switzerland, Body Control Pilates Pregnancy Workshop, Polestar's 'Inner and Outer Unit' workshop and Polestar's Studio Course. All this extra information instigated a need to know how it really looked and so Jo participated in a week long dissection course at London's St Georges Medical School. In July 2003 Jo successfully completed the Studio exam for Polestar Pilates and has accepted the role of an assistant on the Polestar Studio teacher training course in October 2003 and is about to pursue the possibility of becoming a mentor for future Polestar Pilates Instructors. Jo is currently a supervising teacher for Body Control Pilates matwork teacher training students. |
